Wharton Costco employees know the real meaning of giving

The Wharton Costco Warehouse celebrated Children's Miracle Network Day on Saturday, May 19.
On Saturday morning, May 19, more than two dozen Costco employees were scurrying around the warehouse, like mice on a mission, preparing for Children's Miracle Network Day. What a day it was! A basketball hoop was being set up for the children. A wood carver was creating a masterpiece with his chain saw. State troopers were giving out information about DARE. A local celebrity and sports hero autograph collector, Michael Picciallo, donated the proceeds from the sale of his autographed pictures to Children's Miracle Network. Costco provided candy, ice cream, lollipops and cup cakes that were sold, as well as beautiful hibiscus plants. They also donated 2 children's bikes and a cell phone that shoppers had the opportunity to win by trying to guess the number of Sour Patch Kids, M&M's, and Hershey kisses in a jar.
And if this doesn't sound generous, many employees gave up their day off to be at the warehouse to help out. This is the true spirit of giving.
The highlight of the day was a beautiful sheet cake that the baker made to celebrate the day.
There were many people who contributed to make this day successful. The Children's Miracle Network coordinator is Jeane Curicoles. This is her first year handling the campaign and without her leadership none of this would be possible.
Children's Miracle Network extends their thanks and gratitude to Wharton Costco for the dedication and hard work they displayed to make this day so special.
