The East Hanover Costco Warehouse celebrated Children's Miracle Network Day on Saturday, May 12.
On Saturday, May 12 the Costco Warehouse in East Hanover celebrated Children's Miracle Network Day. During the day, shoppers could purchase freshly made pop corn and cotton candy. Customers also had the opportunity to build a brighter future for the children by building a "MILE OF QUARTERS." The objective of this project was to collect enough quarters so they could be laid side by side for a mile. Store personnel and volunteers were on hand to help place quarters in one continuous spiral. Children who participated in the project learned a valuable lesson: "Giving can make a difference in the lives of children who are facing serious health issues."
Behind the leadership of Meena Makwana, the Marketing Director for the East Hanover Warehouse, the dedicated employees and volunteers raised $1,200 for Children's Miracle Network during this event. Costco runs a one-month campaign in the month of May. They sell icon balloons and Miracle Maker bracelets at the registers.
