3rd Annual Tiki Barber Golf Invitational kicks-off in style

A wonderful event at the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan showroom on Park Avenue hosted the VIP Tiki Barber Golf Invitational Reception.
The event was to kick off the following day’s golf outing at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ — soon to be home of the 2005 PGA Championships in August. The VIP event included a silent and live auction which raised over $30,000. In attendance at the Sunday night event were not only some of the highest level executives in New York, but CBS 2 news anchors, including Cindy Hsu, Maurice DuBois, Magee Hickey and more. Tiki Barber hosted the event and brought his twin brother Ronde as well. The following day at the golf course proved to be the most successful golf invitational to date. Raising another $10,000 in live a silent auctions as well as giving away two Mercedes-Bens ML500 SUV’s to two hole-in-one winners. Mercedes-Benz Manhattan sponsored the hole-in-ones on two of the greens of the lower course. David Buchbinder and Alex Hayden blew the statistics out of the water by both hitting a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole (170 yards) and winning the ML500. Emcee Chris Wragge, CBS 2 sports anchor, interviewed the two winners with Tiki for the 6:00pm news. The question is — how to top that next year!
